Sarah and Maceij have a classic love story, and we were so excited to take a little journey over to the other side of the state to be their West Michigan engagement photographer for the evening in October. We adore traveling our mitten state, and exploring new places and new gems along with clients. A couple weeks ago, we met up with Shannon and Brad about 30 min north of Port Huron for their Lexington Christmas Photo Session. The Lexington Michigan area is special to the two of them, because that’s where they are both from, and also where they met. They met in high school, and started dating. MaryLyn and Chris met while at work; they are both in the healthcare field (she’s a nurse and he’s an EMT) and they’re getting married in May of 2021 at Solitude Links. They found us when they were looking for an engagement photographer in the Port Huron area, and we originally met up via Zoom for their consult, because we were in the height of COVID-19 (round 1.) We first met Chelsea and Jim a few months ago when they came and joined us for a drink (outdoors) on the patio of Casey’s in Downtown Port Huron. We learned all about them as a couple, as well as their upcoming April 2021 wedding set to happen at Creekside Acres Event Barn in Goodrich, Michigan. We’re excited (for many reasons) because we’ve never photographed there before since it’s a newer venue, and we love exploring our awesome state of Michigan and being adventure wedding photographers, especially in the spring when the the area is starting to really come alive after a long winter. Hanna and Joe first got connected with us through one of our amazing Detroit photographer friends, Katie from Katie Anton Photography. (For real, shameless plug: if you’re looking for a posed newborn or studio baby photographer, she’s our go-to referral.) Hanna is her niece, and sent her over our direction for her 2022 wedding. Because of Covid, we first “met” them and had their consult via Zoom, so it was wonderful getting to meet them face to face, and not just virtually. They wanted to get save the dates made, and wanted their engagement session done relatively soon.
