Nicole and Matt sat down to chat with us what felt like a really long time ago, and they’ve been planning their wedding date for over a year and a half at this point. Erin and Matt had their Wadhams engagement session with us last night. Lucky re-schedule #3 in fact, because the first two times we tried to meet up, Michigan weather threw us a curve ball and rained. And this session wasn’t without a couple hiccups, either. It was supposed to be in one location, but because of all the recent rain it’s completely flooded out. So we switched it to the Wadhams to Avoca trail and I’m so glad we did, because it was stunning. Saturday’s Michigan intimate wedding felt extra-special, because I can honestly say that I’ve known the bride and her family since elementary school. Annalee and Dan got married officially on October 9, 2021. But this isn’t the first time that you’ve seen them on the blog, and (my favorite part) is that it isn’t the last time, either. You see, their Oct. 2021 wedding was intimate, with just very close family involved. But they’re planning a pretty great April 2022 wedding, and we’re so thrilled to hang out with everyone again and celebrate with their friends and extended family then, too. (more…)
We first met Shannon and Brad last year, when they came back to town and were looking for a photography team for their upcoming Metro Detroit wedding. We photographed their engagement session, and effectively froze all our tushies off in the process. Caity and Nick got married on September 25th, and had the most perfect and beautiful Michigan autumn day for their wedding. We were thrilled to take the very short trip over to a (new to us) Metro Detroit wedding venue. We couldn’t wait to visit, and see how their Youngblood Vineyard wedding came to life after he description- and capture some amazing photographs along the way. Both Courtney and I love wine, but with weddings and families taking up our weekend times during the nicer months, admittedly we haven’t been exploring some local vineyards in a really long time. We were thrilled to learn all about Youngblood Vineyard, and can’t wait to book more weddings there in the future because it was seriously a highlight of the year for us. (more…)
