There’s something undeniably magical about weddings in Memphis. Maybe it’s the blend of history and modern charm, or the soulful heartbeat of the city itself—but The Columns elevates that magic to a whole new level. With its soaring marble pillars, sweeping staircases, and timeless architectural details, it was the perfect setting for a wedding that was both stylish and deeply intimate. From the moment guests stepped through the grand entrance, it was clear that every detail of this day had been intentionally designed. The couple chose a rich, perfectly coordinated color palette—warm neutrals with subtle touches of navy and muted tangerine—that complimented the venue’s classic interiors beautifully. Even in such an impressive space, the atmosphere felt warm, inviting, and personal. But what made this wedding truly unforgettable wasn’t just the stunning florals, the glowing candlelit tables, or the incredible natural light pouring through the arched windows. It was the love story at the center of it all—a story of two people joining not only their lives, but their family.
As a blended family, the couple wanted the day to reflect unity, connection, and the beauty of new beginnings. Raquel’s daughters played meaningful roles throughout the celebration, from sweet moments during the ceremony to playful laughter on the dance floor later in the evening. It was mentioned many times throughout the night how great Mike was with the girls and it was clear to everyone around them the love they share. My personal favorite moment was when Mike gifted each girl a beautiful rose during the family first look.
The Columns created the perfect backdrop for this heartfelt celebration. Elegant yet comfortable, grand yet still unbelievably intimate—it mirrored the vibe of the entire day. Guests enjoyed an evening filled with joy, soulful Memphis energy, and the kind of warmth you only feel when witnessing something truly genuine. As the night wrapped up, it was clear that this wedding wasn’t just about two people falling in love. It was about building a life together—one woven with grace, style, and the beautiful blending of hearts and homes. A Memphis wedding to remember, and a family story just beginning.
Some love stories are written in the mountains, but celebrated where the heart calls home. Hailey and Collin’s wedding at City Flats in Port Huron was the perfect blend of their Colorado spirit and Michigan roots, creating an intimate celebration that felt authentic to them.
After bonding over their shared passion for the outdoors in college, Hailey and Collin eventually made the move to Colorado, where mountain peaks and endless trails became their everyday backdrop. Their wedding day beautifully honored this journey, weaving their love for nature into every carefully chosen detail.
Walking into City Flats felt like stepping into a Colorado-inspired dream. Wooden elements brought warmth and rustic charm, while the stunning ceremony centerpiece—a custom altar designed to resemble mountain peaks and adorned with cascading florals—left guests in awe. It perfectly captured their love story.
As avid adventurers, they incorporated their passion for national parks in the most creative way. Instead of a traditional guest book, they chose a stunning coffee table photography book featuring national parks for their 75 guests to sign. This meaningful keepsake will be treasured for years, filled with both breathtaking scenery and heartfelt messages.
Hailey and Collin were genuinely one of the most relaxed and joyful couples we’ve worked with. Their calm, happy energy was contagious, and nothing could dim their excitement about becoming husband and wife.
We captured stunning portraits around Port Huron, from urban shots downtown to fall colors near the river. The autumn backdrop added seasonal beauty to their mountain-inspired theme, proving you don’t have to be in the mountains to capture that adventurous spirit.
Congratulations to Hailey and Collin! May your marriage be filled with as many adventures as the mountains you love.
Some love stories just make you smile from the very beginning, and Amelia and Wyatt’s is definitely one of them. As your Kimball Michigan wedding photographer team, we’ve had the joy of capturing countless celebrations, but there was something extra special about these two from our very first meeting.
Their journey started back in college, and honestly, watching their relationship unfold has been like witnessing the most natural, beautiful thing. They just fit together – you know that rare kind of chemistry where everything feels effortless and genuine? That’s exactly what we saw on their wedding day at Solitude Links Michigan on September 20th.
The weather gods were absolutely on their side. Just as their ceremony was about to begin, the harsh direct sunlight softly tucked behind a cloud, creating the dreamiest, most romantic lighting. Those Solitude Links Kimball wedding photos practically took themselves with those gorgeous, picturesque clouds rolling in as the perfect backdrop. But here’s the magical part – right when we headed out for their sunset portraits, those clouds parted like curtains, giving us that golden hour glow every couple dreams of.
Their reception was pure joy. Seriously, the dance floor was absolutely electric all night long. There’s nothing better than when a couple’s happiness is so contagious that it gets everyone moving and celebrating right alongside them.
As a Michigan golf course wedding photographer, Solitude Links continues to be one of our favorite venues. The rolling greens, beautiful clubhouse, and scenic views create such a romantic setting for Port Huron area wedding photography. But what really made this day unforgettable wasn’t just the stunning venue – it was Amelia and Wyatt’s genuine love for each other that lit up every single frame.
Congratulations to the sweetest couple! Your love story is just getting started, and we couldn’t be happier for you both.
What a magical Friday it was on September 12th when Amy and Rob said “I do” surrounded by rolling Michigan countryside! As Blue Water Area wedding photography professionals, we’ve captured many love stories, but there was something truly special about this celebration in Burtchville, Michigan.
The venue itself was like something out of a fairytale – a family friend’s working farm that has hosted a few weddings over the years, and honestly, we can see why couples keep choosing this spot. Amy and Rob exchanged vows right between two rustic barns, with the perfect natural backdrop that only Michigan can provide.
The reception setup was absolutely stunning. One of the red pole barns had been transformed into the most charming reception space, complete with a painted dance floor that had everyone showing off their moves later in the evening. But our favorite detail? The outdoor bar set up in the old wooden red barn, where grapevines cascaded down the weathered sides – it was pure magic.
What made this wedding extra heartwarming was watching two families become one. Amy and Rob each brought two children into their love story, and seeing all four kids standing proudly in the wedding party alongside their parents was incredibly touching. The family connection was evident in every moment, every laugh, every happy tear.
This adventurous couple, who met online and got engaged on the dramatic cliffs of Ireland, clearly knows how to explore life together. From their travels to their blended family adventures, Amy and Rob have built something beautiful. Now as husband and wife, we know they’ll continue creating amazing memories – with their four kids right alongside them for the journey.
Congratulations, Amy and Rob! Your love story is just beginning and we wish you all the best in your future adventures together as a family of 6! If you’re in the market and needing Blue Water area wedding photography, we’d love to connect.
Sometimes the stars align for the most magical wedding days, and Tracey and Kevin’s celebration was absolutely one of those times. This sweet couple tied the knot on the last Saturday of August at their home church in Ira, Michigan, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day to be their Michigan summer farm wedding photographer.
Mother Nature gifted us with the most gorgeous 65-degree summer day, complete with those dreamy billowy clouds that every photographer dreams of. Those clouds became our best friend, providing natural shade just when we needed it most for those stunning midday portraits that would normally have us scrambling for cover.
What struck us most about Tracey and Kevin was their incredible ease with each other. After eight years together since meeting at work, these two have that comfortable, joyful love that radiates in every photo. Even their pastor commented during the ceremony that by their demeanor, he would have assumed they’d been married for years! Their vows and commitment to each other were such a joy to witness – you could feel the genuine happiness filling that sacred space.
The real magic happened when we moved to their family’s historic farm for portraits. As a Michigan farm wedding photographer, there’s nothing quite like capturing love against the backdrop of a working farm that’s been in operation for over 100 years. That weathered farm sign telling the story of generations, the rustic barns, and the fields created the most authentic and meaningful setting for their photos. Every corner held memories and stories that made this location incredibly special to document.
We also had the pleasure of working alongside Lee from Ultimate Sounds DJ – always our favorite vendor collaboration! When great vendors come together, the magic just flows naturally.
Tracey and Kevin, thank you for letting us be your Michigan farm wedding photographer and capture this beautiful chapter of your love story. Here’s to many more years of that easy, joyful love! If you’re planning a Summer Farm Wedding, we’d love to connect.
