Lauren and Kyle contacted us and booked Mulberry & Sage to be their Blue Water Convention Center wedding photographer for 2022. In the meantime, they wanted to do a Marine City engagement photography session, and we were thrilled to spend the evening with them to get to know them better. Kyle is Courtney’s cousin, so that’s how we all connected. (more…)
We had a really busy month of July, and especially the last half, it seems like. But we were so excited to spotlight AnnaLee and Dan on the blog. When AnnaLee contacted us about photographing her upcoming (2 part) wedding in 2021 and 2022, we were thrilled. I (Megan) have been friends with her brother since the 5th grade. In fact, he is probably my oldest friend that I have in Michigan, because that’s the year that I moved here from California. We got to work planning her Great Lakes Engagement Photography session with the love of her life, Dan. (more…)
We first chatted with Jennifer and Matt on the phone during the winter. They are planning their November wedding right now, and it’s taking place in the Smokey Mountains on a mountainside, in Tennessee. We hoped that we convinced them to let us tag along with them, because they were so much fun and we loved doing their Rockabilly Engagement Photography session at Goodells Park in Michigan this summer before they left.

And we love them for that, and also love that Brian specifically remembers Megan’s old tagline of, “Tinder is like an old boyfriend that you just can’t quit.” We love happy and funny couples, and appreciate when they find us and we get to play a small role in their love story.
Last week was a busy one for us; we got the chance to head about 45 minutes southeast to meet up with Elizabeth and Charles and be their Romeo Michigan engagement photographer. This session was particularly unique for us, because they’re actually getting married this Friday, so their engagement session was about a week and a half before their wedding. It just proves that there really isn’t a set-in-stone timeline when it comes to booking an engagement session. (more…)
