Last Friday, we had the pleasure of photographing Karissa and Nick’s Lakeport Beach Engagement Photography Session at Lakeport Beach on Lake Huron. The weather was perfect, with clear blue skies and a gentle breeze. The beach was deserted, so we had the place to ourselves. (more…)
We met up with Allie and Cody on Sunday for their Christmas Campus Martius Photography engagement session. We love visiting the beautiful Downtown Detroit, especially during the holiday season because it’s all decorated so perfectly for that picturesque Christmas session. When Allie arrived with Cody (and her twin sister and bridesmaid…aka: her hype squad) she admitted that she felt nervous about their engagement session. Cody, like most guys, wasn’t overly excited to be spending the sunny afternoon trekking around the city taking photos, either. But, by the end of the session, they were both saying how much fun they had and how the time flew by. That’s a success in our book.
After a few re-schedules, we were finally able to meet up with Casey and Phil for their Marysville lifestyle engagement session. When we originally met with the two of them at The Raven in downtown Port Huron, we learned about some of their favorite things to do as a couple. Some of their common passions are exploring with their dogs on lots of walks around the city, and hanging out with each other. That’s why we suggested a really low-key lifestyle engagement session, where we’d simply tag along one of their favorite activities and document it. (more…)
Erin and Matt had their Wadhams engagement session with us last night. Lucky re-schedule #3 in fact, because the first two times we tried to meet up, Michigan weather threw us a curve ball and rained. And this session wasn’t without a couple hiccups, either. It was supposed to be in one location, but because of all the recent rain it’s completely flooded out. So we switched it to the Wadhams to Avoca trail and I’m so glad we did, because it was stunning. We met up finally with Taylor and Brandon for a beautiful evening to do their Summer Engagement Photos. When we say “finally,” we can assuredly say that this summer has been our busiest summer yet. After-all, we’re essentially cramming 2 year’s worth of weddings into one summer. Because of that, we simply have had to photograph engagement sessions solo on some occasions. But, rest assured, you’re still getting a primo Mulberry & Sage experience with your engagement session, and Taylor’s session was no exception. (more…)
