We met up finally with Taylor and Brandon for a beautiful evening to do their Summer Engagement Photos. When we say “finally,” we can assuredly say that this summer has been our busiest summer yet. After-all, we’re essentially cramming 2 year’s worth of weddings into one summer. Because of that, we simply have had to photograph engagement sessions solo on some occasions. But, rest assured, you’re still getting a primo Mulberry & Sage experience with your engagement session, and Taylor’s session was no exception.

We know that schedules change and Michigan hasn’t been very friendly to us this year, weather-wise. She’s had way more storms than usual (we think? we don’t remember such crazy summer storms and tornados!) Their original session was postponed because of insane weather; there ended up being an actual tornado warning that night. Then their reschedule there was a sickness. So finally on the third attempt, Taylor, Brandon, and Megan went for a hike around Clyde Township to some of our favorite photo spots- and Michigan was our friend that night and gifted us with GORGEOUS weather, a beautifully warm glowy sunset, and tons of wildflowers.

Here’s a fun fact- aside from looking for the most perfect light (and audibly gasping on most occasions when we “find it”) we’re also always on the hunt for texture. Texture plays an important role in creating an intriguing image or art, and we’ve vowed over the past couple years to start making that a priority, too.

Anyways- back to Taylor and Brandon. The two of them are so in love, and we can’t wait to photograph their June 2022 wedding at Solitude Links in Kimball, Michigan. The two of them met through mutual friends, started hanging out as friends, and their relationship budded into a touching romance. We loved getting to know them, exploring nature (even the bugs) together, and learning more about how they act together, how they feel about the poses, etc. We hope you enjoy this preview into their Summer Engagement Photos.
