Erin and Matt spent an unseasonably hot day with us last fall, where we all went exploring and walked away with 100 too many mosquito bites for a day in October. Regardless, we were so excited for their 2022 Michigan barn wedding theme scheduled for September 10, 2022. They said that the barn was located on private property and since it was in the country in Almont, we didn’t have much information to work off of, aside from “big red barn.” (more…)
Allie and Cody got married last Friday at the beautiful Solitude Links Golf Course in Kimball, Michigan. While we may not consider Kimball a destination for the two of us, Solitude Links is the perfect venue for the couple looking to travel and get that Up-North feel, but keeping it within an hour of the Metro Detroit location. That’s how Allie and Cody found it, actually, since neither of them are from the area but they have so many memories of camping at the KOA in the Port Huron area as kids, so it was the perfect spot for us to be their Michigan travel wedding photographer team. Last weekend, Amanda and Mike got married on a friends property in Marysville, Michigan. They had the most beautiful Michigan summer day where it wasn’t too hot and it wasn’t too cold. We loved working with them for their Marysville wedding photography on their special day and were excited to go home and edit these photos that really showcase and paint the picture of their special wedding day. Last Saturday we got to spend another weekend with Courtney’s family (this this time it was her side of the family.) Megan photographed Kyle and Lauren’s engagement session last year, and their August Blue Water Convention Center wedding came in a (what felt like) blink of an eye. (more…)
Fun fact: we try to take on at least one destination or travel wedding per year. It makes us excited to travel to new locations, appeases our wunderlust a tad, and we both look forward to hilarious road trip antics on car drives. This year we were thrilled to have two out of area spots: Holland Michigan and then last weekend when we were a Gaylord Wedding Photographer team for Amanda and Gary. We traveled about 3 hours up north and spent the day documenting their Soujourn Lakeside Resort wedding. (more…)
