We first met Kayla when she was about 14 hours old. You see, she’s my(Megan’s) cousin and has had a special place in my heart for a long time now. I watched Kayla grow up by babysitting her quite often as a baby and toddler, and then moved to California around the time she started elementary school. When I moved back to Michigan in 2016, Kayla was in high school and that’s when I got to know her the most, as a young adult and human- outside of baby bottles and diaper changes. It wasn’t long after that that I also met Tyler, because the two of them met while they were both in high school and have maintained a healthy and happy relationship while they both attended Michigan State for college. When Tyler proposed and they started planning their wedding, she reached out and I told her all about a brand new (old) barn that was being renovated to become a new wedding venue in the Port Huron area. She excitedly set up a call and booked it, and I was thrilled when she approached me to be their Impression Farms Wedding Photography team for their Oct. 2022 wedding. (more…)

This last weekend we were back at the DoubleTree by Hilton with Ivy and Cody being their Port Huron Wedding Photographers for the day. The two of them got married on a sunny autumn Friday, and while it was very on-brand for a Michigan October day, the wind was off the charts.  (more…)

Last weekend, we had what we refer to in the wedding photography industry as a “double header” meaning that we had a wedding both Friday and Saturday. While Friday we stayed local, on Saturday we got to explore an appease some of our wunderlust by visiting Holly, Michigan. Kelsey and Bill tied the knot on the most beautiful and perfect autumn day, and we got to be their Holly Grand Belle Wedding Photographer team for the afternoon.  (more…)

About a week ago, we had the pleasure of staying local and being Stephanie and Jared’s Port Huron Double Tree Wedding Photography. Any time that we have the opportunity to share the beauty of our own city and “backyard” we jump at it. Stephanie and Jared met us through a referral from Jared’s sister Morgan, who’s another photographer in the PH area. She was kind enough to send them our way, so she could enjoy attending the wedding as a guest, rather than a “job.”

We first met Hanna and Joe back in 2020 at their engagement session in downtown Detroit. We spent the evening exploring the area, getting to know each other better, and hearing about their upcoming 2022 wedding that they were planning for. Like any longer engagement time frame, we were so excited when they day finally came, and also elated at the fact that we were finally shooting at a quintessential and historical Metro Detroit wedding venue locations and being their Packard Proving Grounds Wedding Photographer.
