You first met Hillary and David when we shot their downtown New Baltimore engagement session. Their September wedding was planned to take place at City Flats Port Huron, but COVID-19 had some other plans for their special day. Hillary and David met online, when Hillary was living in Ohio. She’d drive up on weekends and vacations and would spend time with David in his home in Chesterfield area. Hillary is originally from Hawai’i, and most of her family and friends are either abroad, or splattered across the United States. Because of all the travel restrictions for international travel, as well as coming to/from New York (where many of her friends are) they decided to scale back and do a unique Zoom Backyard wedding.  (more…)

Monica and Matt booked us last December, and found us through a referral from our good friend Wendy. They were busy planning their upcoming wedding, and chose us to be their Goodells Michigan wedding photographer team. Since they booked us during the holiday season, and then the pandemic hit, we didn’t get much opportunity to chat with them before their wedding day, but in our communications we did learn that Matt loves Monica, and also his Harley.  (more…)

Juliah and Anthony planned their original 2020 wedding to look much differently. They originally booked us to be their City Flats wedding photographer team, however, because the coronavirus shut down inside venues within the state of Michigan, their indoor ballroom wedding suddenly turned into a backyard wedding, and we turned into their Lapeer wedding photography team. Luckily, Juliah’s parent’s home is absolutely stunning and was the perfect venue for their love to be celebrated along with their close friends and family. (more…)

Kate and Kevin have weathered a true storm, quite literally and figuratively. They were booked to get married and have us as their Kimball wedding photographers on June 7th of this year, and literally were holding out hope until about 3 weeks before. We gave them so many props, because while we were in contact with them, they seemed relatively low key about postponing. Solitude Links is an amazing Kimball wedding venue, and re-booked their wedding for a Sunday in August. As the date got closer, their indoors wedding got moved outdoors because of the executive order.  (more…)
