Columbus Ohio Wedding PhotographerThird time’s the charm! It’s a cutesy phrase our brides are probably getting sick of hearing, but in this case it’s true. Last weekend we hopped in the car and drove down south to be Lauren and Jamarr’s Columbus Ohio Wedding Photographer. (more…)

We met Emily a while back at her consult in the winter at Sperry’s Moviehouse Restaurant. We learned about her and Craig’s relationship, then too. They were looking for someone to be their Wales Michigan wedding photography team, and we loved hearing all the small details about who they are, and what makes them unique. (more…)

Jensen and Shaunell were officially our first 2020 wedding we booked- they originally contacted us and we did their engagement session in the fall of 2018! I vividly remember thinking “oh man, this is ages away” but the time came quicker than quick, and we’re so excited to hang out with them again when we did their Marysville Michigan Wedding Photography for their wedding day. Lapeer Engagement Photography | Alyssa & Joe

    Lapeer Michigan Engagement Photography

We’re excited to introduce you to Alyssa and Joe, and show you some of our favorite images from their Lapeer Michigan engagement photography session. We first met the two of them at the Solitude Links bridal tasting event, where Mulberry & Sage always has a booth. We love being a preferred vendor for Solutide Links, and we meet so many awesome couples through their various events throughout the year. (We’ll be there again in May for their annual bridal show!) Anyway, we met the two of them because we ended up being placed at their table for dinner (which was delicious, per the usual.) We all got to chatting, and we fell in love with the two of them and their love story. One of Alyssa’s biggest questions was whether we had ever done a multi-cultural wedding before. That peaked our interest, because we love new things, and learning all about new traditions that we may not see all the time. Alyssa is Macedonian, and plans to have a day chock full of their traditions, which we learned a bit about, and we CANNOT WAIT to capture. One of the coolest parts is that Joe gets to parade down the street. A wedding with a parade? Yes, please.

While the wedding day may be full of Alyssa’s traditions, the engagement session really felt like we captured Joe’s heritage. His uncle owns a stunning “cottage” (their words. Most definitely not ours.) in Lapeer County, and we couldn’t believe it when we pulled up. It felt like a property that was straight out of Frankenmuth; the charm was unbelievable. It had lots of property to explore, and the home that overlooked a lake was seriously beautiful. It looked and felt so German to us; like straight out of Bavaria. It was, however, one of the coldest days of the year thus far, and the two of them handled it like champs (especially Alyssa, who never once complained, and braved the elements for over an hour!) Joe grew up hanging out with his uncle and cousins on this property, and had so many great stories of hunting up there, and so many funny tales of family bonding times. We love that the winter feel matched the buildings perfectly, and that there was snow on the ground, to boot.

We literally cannot wait until their November 2020 wedding, and to see all the love and fireworks between the two of them all over again. We hope you enjoy this preview into their Lapeer engagement photography session. We’d love to chat if you’re in the market for a Lapeer or Kimball wedding photographer.

Michigan Farm Engagement Session | Tiffani & Lucas

Michigan Farm Engagement SessionWe met Tiffani & Lucas at the Solitude Links tasting event that they put on for their couples. As a preferred vendor we get to come mingle and meet the couples planning their weddings at the gorgeous venue (and enjoy a delicious dinner too!) We immediately connected, booked their June 5th 2021 wedding and planned their Michigan Farm Engagement session, all within a few short weeks. When you know, you know and we are so excited to welcome Tiffani & Lucas into our Mulberry & Sage family.

We had planned for a beautiful fall engagement session but mother nature had other ideas and surprised us with a early snow storm. Honestly though, it only made their Michigan Farm Engagement session more beautiful. The morning sun shining off the snow covered round bales were some our favorite photos! Tiffani and Lucas brought their fur-baby Duke. He was so playful & energetic. We love adding pets to our sessions and it was a perfect way to start their session. Next we hoped on a Ranger to get to the farm lane and cornfield. Courtney got to show off her driving skills-if we are shooting your wedding at a golf course and golf carts are involved to different photo locations she will drive and you will hang on for dear life. Just kidding. Kind of. After the farm Tiffani and Lucas changed so of course we had to change locations to match their style. The pines trees at the end is a secret location we love to use in the morning, especially in the snow.

We love engagement sessions and think every couple who books with us should take advantage of them. Even if you think you don’t need the photos, save the dates are not the only end goal. It is a time to get to know each other better and learn our shooting style. That way when we show up on your wedding day we can truly greet each other as friends. We already can’t wait to see Tiffani & Lucas again! We hope you liked this sneak peek into their Michigan Farm Engagement Session! Still planning your wedding?
